Liz Lippiatt
Liz Lippiatt is a renowned designer and printer of cloth for fashion couture and interiors. Liz has her studio in the historic textile valleys of Gloucestershire.
Liz continues the tradition of working with textiles in the Stroud Valleys designing and printing fine cloth; mainly silks, velvets and linen. She designs collections for fashion scarves and bags and has sold internationally through many well-known shops and galleries. Liz creates cloth for costume and couture and she also works on fine linen for furnishings.
In recent years Liz has welcomed new creative practice, working on ‘textile-led’ projects in collaboration with Studio Seven, a group of seven textile artists. The group has staged pioneering textile led performances and installations exploring unconventional ways of showing textiles; “Textiles in Performance,” “Make Do And Mend” and “Cut 2 On Fold” among their most successful events.
Liz is a trustee of the Stroud Water Textile Trust and a longstanding member of the Gloucestershire Guild of Craftsmen.
